An Ode To Summer

It officially doesn’t matter where you live; today marks the last day of summer. Here in Wisconsin we’ve had fall-like temperatures on and off (but mostly on) for the last week and a half with a few summer-like days mixed in. But tonight, for the entire country, summer comes to an end at 9:59 p.m. CST.

So here is an ode to summer. Here is a snapshot of some of my favorite moments and memories in pictures. We started the summer with short hair covered in sunhats and a toothless mouth always accompanied by a pacifier. We’re ending it with long(er) blonde curls with pigtails and pacifier-free days. It’s been a roller coaster of emotions this summer as Adelyn turned one, we said goodbye to our nursing relationship and I picked up a heavier travel schedule for work.

But here we are, ready for fall; with only these pictures to serve as the memories of growth in the hearts of our little family.
